I am passionate about what I do in therapy. I give my full attention and am genuinely interested in what you have to say. Each person has a unique story that I am honored to learn about and I appreciate the part I can do in helping to support them. I do not judge and strive to make each person feel comfortable so the ease of conversation can allow us to get to the more difficult places. This is where insight and change can happen. I feel that everyone has the capacity to grow as I see clients do this everyday.
I use both dialectical (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), with a strong trauma-informed background. These orientations allow to address not only the cognitive aspect, but also the coping skills necessary to regulate while being mindful of the client’s experience. I create a safe space to explore life’s struggles so an individual can feel in control of their journey.
I have had extensive experience in the community, universities, private practice, as well as hospital settings for over 15 years. This exposure to multiple environments has solidified my ability to manage crisis situations as well as determining the best next steps for individuals on various paths in managing their mental health.
